For all of you who don’t know it, tonight, from 8:30 to 9:30, is Earth Hour. Because we all want to save the planet, everyone should turn off all their lights (NB it is not really about saving electricity – just turning off your lights for one hour won’t really help, it’s about awareness and sending a message and getting into habits to not use as much energy). So, if you haven’t already signed up, go to http://www.earthhour.org/home/, and then turn your lights off for one hour tonight. And, so you have a fun time in the dark this evening, a few things you can do there…
Þ Share stories around a fire
Þ Take the dog for a night walk
Þ Play hide and seek in the garden
Þ Gather family and friends for a picnic under the stars
Þ Have dinner by candlelight
Þ Play truth or dare
Þ Think of other exciting things to do…
And have a good time, saving the Earth!!!
Well, I hope that was enlightening… and also, to all those of you present at tennis, daylight saving does NOT end this weekend, but at 3:00 am next Sunday. Last year they changed the dates, so that there was extra daylight saving…
Goodbye all, must get back to my science assignment, I’m sure it’s missing me more than I it. And don’t forget – lights out at 8:30!

Ok, ill remember to sign up. Hope you have fun with your ... activities. And thanks for the advanced warning, or id br showing up at school and hour late. Hmm, not a bad idea.
ReplyDeleteTata.
things to mention that are wrong in sophie's blog . . .
ReplyDelete1. why would you have a firte in your house? that'd be really bad. soph. bad idea.
2.walking the dog at night. wouldn't you like trip over? then, you'd have to turn on the light to see where exactly the knife you tripeed over stabbed you.
3.hide and seek in the garden. seeking would be impossible cause it'd be too dark. hiding'd be easy. just stand 5m away from the person.
4.picnic under the stars? how would you see what you're eating. it'd be dark. hello? i'd prefer to actually eat the breadroll, not the dog poop i found on the ground, next to where I thought the breadrolls were.
nothing else to say. btw, how are you supposed to do your assignment in the dark? hmm?
love ya lots
Amanda
ps. meant fire
ReplyDeleteSo stupid i'm not even going to respond...
ReplyDeleteI supported Earth Hour! I'm awesome! I did it without reading Sophie's blog because no one told me it'd been updated. I am a follower, aren't I? I just don't get emails. Hahaha, so that works awfully doesn't it?
